April, 2012:
I remained in Illinois for 4 years and was suddenly aware that my health would no longer allow me to tolerate the mid-west climate. I had to return to western warm and dry. So I downsized considerably, put a few things in storage and loaded my car to the roof. I left Illinois on April 15 and arrived in Quartzsite, AZ on the 18th to live in senior housing. The Arizona climate is better for me, but it's too costly to live here. I will be returning to Palm Springs in 2013. There I can procure low-income housing.
